We are pleased to offer the opportunity to take delivery of your new Corvette through The National Corvette Museum (NCM) in Bowling Green, KY. Approximately 15 enthusiasts take delivery of their new Corvettes each week. Join Team NCM members as we conduct an adventure that is second to none.
NCM Delivery, referred to as OPTION R8C, is available through any Chevrolet dealer at a minimal cost of $490. Your request must be specified when ordering your Corvette with a special "Ship Code" of 184590.
After a target production week (TPW) has been established, the NCM will contact the selling dealer and/or the customer and offer a reasonable timeframe for the customer to choose a date for delivery. This contact normally takes place one week prior to the TPW, allowing ample time for the customer to make travel arrangements. The Museum will confirm in writing the date agreed upon with the customer and will handle all further communications. If at any time the selling dealer and/or customer should have any questions, they may contact the Museum at 1.800.205.4248.
Customers must arrive at the Museum with the following items in order to take delivery of their Corvette:
- A license plate or temporary tag
- Proof of Ownership (Bill of sale, etc.)
- Proof of Insurance, and
- A Valid Operator's License.
When customers arrive they are greeted with signs commemorating the event. They are then taken to the Corvette Assembly Plant (located across the street) for their own guided VIP tour (when available).
Once the plant tour is completed, customers are treated to a personal VIP guided tour of the Museum, where their new Corvette is on display. Next, a member of the NCM Team provides a quality orientation followed by a thorough delivery presentation of their new vehicle. A unique gold decal is placed inside the driver's door jam to signify the importance of this memorable occasion. The customer also receives a complimentary one-year NCM membership.
A laser-engraved wooden plaque with the customer's name, date of delivery and VIN is ordered. Once completed, the plaque will be shipped to the customer. Exclusive NCM merchandise may also be ordered by the participants.
I highly recommend this delivery option. Gary Cockriel, manager of the NCM, provides this one-of-a-kind experience. Contact him directly at 1.800.205.4248, ext. 124, or Rick Daniel at 1.866.700.8388 with questions or concerns about this special delivery option.

THE CORVETTE BUYERS PLANT TOUR
In conjunction with the Bowling Green Corvette Assembly Plant and The National Corvette Museum, Les Stanford Chevrolet is pleased to provide the opportunity to take part in the exclusive Corvette Buyer's Plant Tour.
This program provides new Corvette buyers with a VIP Tour of the Assembly Plant. See and experience the assembly of America's Sports Car with your very own personal tour guide. You and up to three guests will enjoy a private Plant tour and see many areas that are not available to the general public. Your guide will provide information at the paint areas, body start area, installation of seats, doors, trunk deck, steering wheel, airbags, engine and more, in addition to the general tour stops at the marriage point, first start, end of the line and dyno- and water-testing.
We make every effort to arrange your tour on the day your Corvette is built, however we cannot guarantee that you will see your car at any point in the production process due to events that may increase or decrease production time and scheduling.
The cost of the exclusive Corvette Buyer's Plant Tour is $350 and is payable on-line upon registration. You must have an order number from Les Stanford Chevrolet before you can register.
After you have registered and paid, The National Corvette Museum will monitor your vehicle's status. Approximately 8-14 days prior to your build date, a Museum representative will contact you and provide an estimated production date. At this time, travel arrangements are made. We recommend the purchase of refundable airline tickets if you intend to fly because the scheduled date may change due to events that may increase or decrease production line rates.
OTHER TOUR INFORMATION
Please note that the Plant operates from 6:12a to 2:42p Central time. You may need to arrive the day before your scheduled tour if you have a morning time slot.
The VIP Tour lasts 3-5 hours. You will not be following your car during the entire tour. You will be shown other areas of the Plant to see the assembly process that all Corvettes go through.
The NCM rep will contact you if there are any scheduling changes. It is very important that you provide a cell phone number so that we may reach you on short notice once you arrive in Bowling Green.
Closed toe shoes are required. Sandals are not allowed. No cameras, backpacks, purses, fanny packs, cell phones or other packages or containers are allowed in the Plant unless granted through a special request (for medical reasons, etc.).
Children must be at least seven years old. You may bring up to three additional guests at no charge. A total of four people are permitted on the Corvette Buyer's Tour.
The Corvette Buyer's Tour is not part of the Museum Delivery process. Museum delivery (Option R8C) is a separate option and is ordered through the selling dealer once your order is placed. You may participate in the Corvette Buyer's Tour only when a Museum delivery is ordered. The Buyer's Tour is available for an additional $350 fee. Please note that participation in both the Museum Delivery and the Buyer's Tour will require two separate trips to Bowling Green.
It is the desire of the Museum and the Assembly Plant that your tour experience enables you to see your Corvette but we cannot guarantee this as part of the program. We will not be responsible for any costs you incur for the tours whether you view your car or not. You will not be entitled to a refund if you do not see your car but we do promise that you will receive a memorable tour of the Corvette Assembly Plant and the National Corvette Museum.
In the event that tour schedules are not available on the day your car is built, your tour may have to be rescheduled. Again, you may not see your car but you will receive a VIP Tour of the Plant.
